Associate Professor David Cavallucci is an Hepato-pancreatico-biliary surgical oncologist. He is a graduate of the two-year AANZHPBA post-fellowship program in HPB surgery as well as the surgical oncology and abdominal transplantation Fellowship at the University of Toronto. He has a special interest in minimally invasive pancreatic and liver surgery with a broad experience of laparoscopic and robotic HPB surgery. Outside of oncology, he manages benign biliary disease including the laparoscopic management of bile duct stones and the surgical management of acute and chronic pancreatitis. Having completed a Masters degree in Biostatistics, he has published on the use of novel weighting techniques in observational surgical research. He is active in teaching and maintains a strong interest in clinical and translational research. A/Prof Cavallucci is immediate past-President of the AANZHPBA, member of the AP-HPBA research council and associate editor of the HPB Journal.
